Candidate for NH State Rep | Merrimack District 25 (Franklin-Northfield)
While spending decades caring for New Hampshire families as a Nurse Midwife and Nurse Practitioner, I trained for and completed several Ironman competitions. Now retired, I want to bring that discipline and experience to the New Hampshire State House to represent the citizens of Franklin and Northfield.
I've learned that it is not enough to just treat symptoms — you have to listen to the patient. I am committed to bringing that same focus to Concord ensuring that the voices of Franklin and Northfield are heard.
My approach to leadership is rooted in the same practical 'fixit' mentality that gets a bicycle across the country or a patient through a health crisis: you look at the facts, you identify the problem, you prescribe the solution, and apply the treatment.
I oppose the downshifting of costs from the state to our local cities and towns. When the state fails to meet its obligations, it forces our local property taxes to rise. I believe that the state must fulfill its responsibilities under the law ensuring that Franklin and Northfield aren't left picking up the tab for state-level mandates.
I believe in our public schools. Good schools are the backbone of a strong economy and a healthy community for our children and grandchildren. Better schools mean a better future for our cities and towns. Prioritizing public education will attract business investment and lead to more engaged citizens.
